Are kids welcome?

We love your little ones, truly! However, to keep the atmosphere intimate and a bit more grown-up, we’ve decided to make our wedding an adults-only celebration. Think of it as a well-deserved weekend off in the valley.

Can I take photos during the ceremony?

We kindly request that guests do not take photos during the ceremony. We have professional photographers to capture every moment so we can unplug and enjoy!

What is the weather like in Solvang in late October?

October in the Santa Ynez Valley is stunning, with daytime highs usually in the low 70s—perfect for ranch activities. However, the temperature drops quickly once the sun goes down, often dipping into the high 40s or low 50s. We definitely recommend layers and a warm jacket for our evening events! You can keep an eye on the local forecast at WeatherSpark or AccuWeather.

Can I come to the ranch even if I am not staying there?

Yes, you sure can!

What can we do on the ranch during our downtime?

One of the reasons we chose Alisal is for the incredible variety of experiences it offers. Guests staying on-property can enjoy complimentary activities like guided hikes, fishing on the private lake, and exploring the scenic grounds. For those looking for a bit more adventure or sport, activities such as horseback riding, air rifling, and rounds at either of the two championship golf courses on-property are available for an additional fee.
